Look forward to listening. I absolutely loved “Carbon” and his reframing of decarbonisation and recarbonisation and centring biodiversity and carbon cycles.
First time I encountered your substack and pod cast. Perfect for me. Content your voice your written and spoken messages. Near and dear topics said with reflection and just right. So hard to pull together. Thank for that!
I'm honored to have you, and grateful for this connection! Your message means a lot. Will keep trying to speak & write from my heart, and look forward to growing and learning more with you. Thank you for you!
Check out John Bellamy Foster’s The Metabolic Rift. Is based on Marxist ecology and explains very well why the biosphere crisis (and not just climate change) is a direct outcome Capitalism, and not human presence on the planet.
Thank you for the resources. And yes, I don't align with narratives blaming "humanity" with a broad stroke because it dehumanizes Indigenous and land-based communities who have been regenerative land stewards in right relation with place for millennia. I actually critique this, a lot, like in this piece where I challenge the label of "anthropocentrism" holding some monolithic meaning of what it means to be human:
Time for “mainstream” to catch up & get to terms with the interconnectedness of disassociating wealth from values, with the selfblame “born in sin” religious tradition that makes people “own” a depression rather than acknowledging shared Weltschmerz( along with the agency potential & wit to do something about things on all levels ), blended with centuries of way harscher conditions still screaming in our dna, both earth & mothers are irrefutable yet not by necessity always kind caring & forgiving, let alone a pro state cancer riddled patriarchy trying to stiffle pro testes while upholding penal code with trunches, phallic fetishbombs & such …
& As such I reckon a lot of the disconnect & disregard is the sum of all the abuse people put themselves, their environment & each other through, as such PTSD doesn’t stand for Post but for Persistent traumatic stress Dysfunction, a muteness shared on empathic levels due to accumulated trauma passed on in ways of “normalisation”, which is why abuse thrives on prolonging moments rather than catching up with earthly revolutions’ incessant spin by empowering creative curiosity & engagement, the essence of cultured survival … & why so many fail to connect & look at stopgap solutions, hoping their ship o fools ain’t half as rotten as it is … Since roman times europe been colonised, 1500 years later them themselves colonised, now some talk colonising space ‘stead o cleaning the kitchen … yet global connection & trade implies da conflict narrative lost its means of making sense …
Let me offer a different analogy. If my aorta is clogged it definitely is a heart problem. I wouldn’t call it a lifestyle problem even if the person has been failing to exercise eating cake and smoking two packs a day. The idea that business will fix it is indeed moronic and the fact that it is caused by colonist-imperialist-capitalism was laid out by Karl Marx. But also the boundless stupidity in business, politics, universities is the result of capitalism, where power overrides knowledge.
If I have a clogged aorta, I would just say I have a clogged aorta, or a heart condition if I’m trying to maintain some medical privacy. One might say “I have a heart problem” because it’s a common framing from the lens of western medicine that often goes unquestioned, but I would actually also challenge this type of languaging that individualizes, isolates, and de-contextualizes health.
It is of course possible that something is both a problem and a symptom of something deeper at the same time. But I find it more helpful to name what is actually problematic (harmful behaviors, environments, conditions, systems etc.) rather than to problematize parts, organs, bodies, communities, ecosystems for reacting and responding exactly as they should to whatever they are experiencing / put through / threatened by. The latter is often what allows issues to be capitalized off of or used to justify things that have nothing to do with healing conditions.
But thank you for offering your thoughts, I look forward to reflecting more deeply on these topics!
Heavily researched does not guarantee correct. Even one erroneous assumption in common renders pages of references, papers and citations useless. CAGW’s GHE contains three such assumptions.
GHE claims without it Earth becomes 33 C cooler, a 255 K, -18 C, ball of ice.
Wrong.
Naked Earth would be much like the Moon, barren, 400 K lit side, 100 K dark.
TFK_bams09 heat balance graphic uses the same 63 twice violating GAAP and calculating out of thin air a 396 BB/333 “back”/63 net GHE radiative forcing loop violating LoT 1 & 2.
Wrong.
Likewise, the ubiquitous plethora of clones.
GHE requires Earth to radiate “extra” energy as a BB.
Wrong.
A BB requires all energy leaving the system to do so by radiation. Per TFK_bams09 60% leaves by kinetic modes, i.e. conduction, convection, advection and latent rendering BB impossible.
GHE is bogus and CAGW a scam so alarmists must resort to fear mongering, lies, lawsuits, censorship and violence.

Yes! I love all the reframes he offers, they are invigorating :) I hope you enjoy the convo! Much love x
Thanks it was grand
Crisis is human centric. Climate is Earth relative.
Great way to put it! Thank you for offering this reflection

Hi Green Dreamer Kaméa. Thanks for sharing the story - will read and respond. Best wishes.
