I'm right there with Natalie, amazing article as always and we truly appreciate you Kamea! The mining sites bringing violence against women needs to be more addressed. And yeah this whole (renewable energy) revolution just screams transitioning from coal to oil (2.0). But on the surface, it's trendy and pretty, and way more profitable than say 500K homeless. I mean, even AOC is selling "green" merch. We all know the real solution is consumption, but it's hard to (myself included) want to give up things like Target. Uggh, lol.. but thank you for the article Kamea have a great weekend!
Yeah, sucks when the incentives are set up to lead us towards more and more extraction. I guess we'll do what we can to scale down consumption + scale-up regeneration... while looking at ways to weaken the system as it stands! Have a wonderful weekend yourself, take care!
Amazing article as always! Thank you for this Kamea this issue feels very important to talk about especially now when politicians and companies talk about “clean green energy” as the solution. But I’m likewise sceptical. How can we expect to save the planet using the same capitalist system that continues to cause harm and damage? How can “swapping for different alternatives” be the answer when the same kind of exploitation of labour and resources continues to be used? I certainly don’t think we should settle for these “solutions”. We need more radical systemic changes and it starts with acknowledging the complexity of the problem and that there can’t be a “one size fits all solution”. So thank you for sharing your knowledge and thoughts Kamea I appreciate you always <3.
Exactly. There are too many forces trying to co-opt sustainability. So keep being critical and skeptical ;) I appreciate your support. Have a restful weekend!
Well said as usual, I appreciate how you don’t claim to have the answers but are willing to ask the difficult and unpopular questions. Our desired to fix our domination screwups by simple having “greener” ways to dominate is more or the same mechanical mind trying to control nature.
I hope you had a good reset and I was excited to see a new episode of Green Dreamers. Keep up the difficult but important work, your voice is heard and well respected!

Absolutely! Have to sit with the complexity of it all. I appreciate you so much. Enjoy your weekend!
